If there are two things I about arcade retro gaming is this; 1) CAVE makes amazing shmups and 2) their games cost a metric FORTUNE! So having the CAVE 68K arcade boards on an FPGA core from nullobject is spectacular and it really saves those retrogaming dollars!

I asked, you answered...and I try to listen :) Of all the requests for new content on the channel one of the most frequently asked for videos is a series on the Terasic DE-10 Nano MiSTer FPGA hardware...so here it is! Retrogaming goodness.
On this episode of our MiSTer series we are going to be talking about the work in progress CAVE 68k board based around the Motorola 68000 processor. It's a host to some amazing games made by CAVE as well as some other games from different publishers (example: Power Instinct from Atlus...a legit amazing fighting game)
Not every CAVE 68K game works on the arcade core side of MiSTer FPGA but at the time of recording this we have Guwange / Esp Ra De / Donpachi / DoDonPachi / Puzzle Uo Poko and Dangun Feveron on the public core side.
Games not yet on the core: Gaia Crusaders, Thunder Heroes, Air Gallet, Hotdog Storm, Koro Koro Quest, Mazinger Z, Gogtsuji Legends, Power Instinct 2, Saikyou Densetsu, Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon and The Ninja Master.
But even if the core isn't done...its still DAMN FUN!
