DmC:devil may cry sucked because it was so spiteful towards the fans of the games. I loved devil may cry 5 and I think it's a bold choice to have a character bring up he was a child prostitute in a game. I think games should be willing to cover sensitive topics if they're coming from a sincere place. if they want a game to be violent I'm not going to take issue with them. sometimes about character models in context to their canonical age like with Max from Life is strange, I think they should have made her a bit less thin and given her a bit more shape because she's canonically 18 but she looks 14. that said I'm not super big on photo realistic video game art, I think wanting games to be super real just leads to people being caught in ascendancy. there are times when people put messages and value judgments don't belong. sometime a cigar is just a cigar. and sometimes people are right to be uncomfortable within the impressions they get from texts and images within games. like I thought the article in detroit: become human where there was an article called: sorry ladies, android sex is better. which came off as David Cage admitting he subscribes to the MGTOW ideology which is largely disturbing due to the solipsism and tracks with the David Cage being sued for creating a hostile work environment. the whole thing about the family scene in family scene in castlevania was super goofy. I get criticism of how women are used as props rather than characters in video games and comic books but the thing about women in refrigerators is the characters have names and only exist to create motivation for a male characters.
