I am a huge Dimash fan, and my first reaction to this was similar to yours - wasn't thrilled with it - but after I have listened to it a few times, it has grown on me. Not one of my favourites, but I can appreciate his creativity and his wanting to experiment. I don't think he did it out of ego, but rather wanting to play. He didn't want to dance, but his fans have been pressuring him to try for years, so he tried.

I don't mind that you don't like the song, it's a matter of taste. But the arrogant behavior here is not Dimash's. What is not clear about the meaning of the song? You don't have to like it, but don't you understand what art is? Dimash is playing a certain character here, a certain type of man, that's a job of the artist to play different roles, different types of people, not necessarily always nice ones. This has nothing to do with Dimash's personality, Dimash is one of the humblest and kindest persons I know. To take a work of art, whether to your taste or not, and say it reflects the artist's personal arrogance shows a person who either doesn't understand what art is or pretends he doesn't know.

For someone who posts half naked pictures of himself, ego and pretentious are strong words for you to use against someone so humble and kind as Dimash. You obviously don't know much about music as many more talented people than yourself have commented on how complicated and layered the actual music is, and no, there is no one else who can sing exactly like Dimash.

This song has a story that we will only learn about in the official video (this is just the performance). In this case, Dimash plays a character that does not match his real nature, that is, besides being a singer, he is an actor! Glass houses, look that up… I dabbled in bodybuilding, and I know a wee bit about the ego it takes to stand on stage and pose to music, and then stand with the top few and have a pose down to see who gets first place. Corey Everson was the guest poser at one of the contests I was in, and Frank Zane was the MC for it. Please… Dimash said he is trying to please his audience who would like more pop music, So he wrote “When I’ve Got You,” and made a wonderful MV out of it, And now “Smoke,” the performance video because we all are anticipating his music video of this song. No real artist wants to be put into a box.

I much prefer Dimash's classical style music to most of his pop songs, but I do rather like this due to the mix of pop and opera elements. The thing about Dimash is his ability to create something for everyone. This particular song is meant to appeal to a particular segment of his fan base and perhaps to would-be fans. I appreciate your honest reaction.

If he packs out stadiums, has extraordinary musical and singing skills and is practically besieged by those who also love him for his sex appeal, I'd say he can also afford to pose as super cool. I see completely useless people doing this all the time. I don't think it's Dimash's case to want to convey the message you understand, but even if it were I'd let him do it just because he has all the power to do it.

I understand that not all of us can like Dimash nor is it mandatory. He is making his own way in music and one of those ways is experimenting between classical and pop. But it seems "a little pretentious" to me that you call Dimash that way. Don't project yourself. You have my unsubscription and I promise that I will never watch a video of yours again.

Innanzitutto sono un fan di Dimash, ma proprio come Dimash è umile, noi Cari dovremmo seguire il suo esempio e non attaccare una persona per il semplice fatto di dire che una canzone non gli è piaciuta o non gli è arrivata , anche tutto è rispettabile. Non ti manco di rispetto con il tuo commento.. Adoro Dimash ma non posso attaccare qualcuno che dice che non gli è piaciuta la canzone degli X, sarebbe arrogante.
