I imagine these are great for children, but I work with residents with dementia (including my mother) and these “guess “ videos are fantastic for them. Simple, clear and visually easy to process. Thank you!

This would be great for my ESL class for elder Japanese students. Put them in 2 teams and encourage them to be specific/use more than 2 words to describe each sound. Thanks!

My slightly off guesses 1 - car braking 2 - sparrrow 3 - unsure. a vacuum vacuuming through a very thin opening? 4 - fire burning log 6 - tapping pen against desk (what happened to number 5?) 7 - leaning on a person, hearing the heartbeat in their chest 8 - lighting a match 9 - walking in something made of somewhat small solid things that sounds somewhat brittle, like gravel or dry leaves 10 - microwave oven 11 - seawaves on a beach or paddling a boat 12 - no idea. rustling with gift wrapper? 13 - toys of some kind. Maybe tiny car toys 14 - someone snoring - probably a dog 15 - the vibration and strain of a slightly old and rusty swing being used by someone who is a bit too heavy 16 - birdsong with rain nearby and muddled thunder further away 17 - someone unwrapping candy 18 - someone writing vigerously on cardboard or a note pad with a pencil 19 - someone opening a can of carbonized liquid 20 - sounds like what is supposed to be flushing a toilet, but the bass sounds a missing, so more like water and metal bucket something 21 - if the sound was deeper, I'd say biliard pool 22 - a very small and likely weak Otto engine with a low engine speed 23 - some kind of mechanism where something is turning around making somewhat lose metal (becoming a bit like a bell) hit metal. Although, my best guess is reeling in a fish 24 - spraying something 25 - water dropping 26 - goat kid crying out for help 27 - clearing out snot 28 - wood structure experiencing bending stress enough to cause a bit of issue to its fibers. Probably a tree swaying in the wind 29 - an electrical motor accelerating something with some mass up to high speed before cutting power and it slows down. Probably the centrifuge in a washing machine 30 - relatively small object of something out of a very elastic backed, with pressure, hitting something harder than itself. Probably a ball against floor 31 - some kind of bell 32 - rain or shower 33 - no idea. something quite small giving way. Nail clipping? 34 - old vacuum cleaner from the 80s or 90s 35 - slight wind, one bird chirping and the toot of a boat 36 - weak electrical motor that runs at low speeds, encased in a small, possible plastic casing, getting some resistance. Probably a hair cutter of some kind 37 - 1/4th meter waterfall? 38 - an fm radio tuning in and out of some channels where it sounds like they speak an asian language 39 - clock 40 - electrical motor inside something made of plastic accelerates an airflow. Airflow is slightly obstructed at times. Must be an hairdryer 41 - motor blade 42 - glass colliding with each other - probably glass and metal trash 43 - metal hitting loser metal repeatedly. Alarm clock? 44 - strange variety of animal sounds 45 - something long, which was attached to something was ripped off 46 - something vibrating inside a mouth - must be electrical toothbrush 47 - something being pushed back and forth with friction to polish inside of something - probably non-electrical toothbrush in use 48 - puppy 49 - car alarm 50 - some kind of medium sized engine going slow - old boat engine at idle?
