Good list! I try to bounce around and be fun with a lot of different characters. Anasui & Yuya have been very enjoyable for me as of recently!

I agree with Kira placement I think. I find he really struggles against characters who have a good projectile, or don’t have to hold a lot of pressure/have big buttons since most of Kira mix and pressure comes from the opponent needing to respect it since his overhead can whiff at range, and that’s basically his only mix outside of staggered normals. If your opponent plays a little belligerent they can mash on a lot of the stuff you look to do, and especially setting up coin in neutral since unlike the assist, coin fizzles mid air if you get hit so he gets kinda dunked by people who don’t respect you at all. He does have super solid confirms off everything, 2H, jH, 5M, they’re all TOD starters, and he has a very very good counter in stand on which is also a TOD starter. It’s just a shame he lacks HKD for most of his routes so if you get bursted you don’t even get to set up any of your oki. His oki is very good and ambiguous though, it’s just that he struggles sometimes to get to that point. All that being said, all it takes is one mistake from your opponent to lose the round/game, which can’t be understated how strong that is. Idk, I’m very torn where I think he should go in regards to a tier list. My only thought I can say with certainty is that I think he’s not S tier like other people say he is

100% agree, i really feel how limited Kira’s pressure is against people who play smart into coin and don’t panic SG against 236x on block. His damage is almost enough by itself to bump him up for me, but he often has to take risks with SG-able blockstrings or making a read with s.on counter. Being soft to good projectiles is also tough with Hol, Mista, and Foof showing up consistently in brackets.

Would vanilla ice be allowed competitively unless the hamon thing balances it out

every tournament organizer can set their own rules of course, but I would def not ban any character in their current state, including Vanilla Ice. no character is so strong that it would require a ban.
