EM waves aren't necessarily sinusoidal. Any period signal may be written as a superposition of trig functions (a sinusoidal signal if converted to a sound wave is an unpleasant morse code like beep...). Furthermore, they can have different types of polarisation circular and planar (and multiple planes potentially)....
@rcoverc2 жыл бұрын
yea but superposition is a little out of scope for this age group

@@jamiewalker329 I got a C in bc calc when i was 17. Summing sinusoidal waves would be unnecessarily complicated. Plus, he’s trying to make this lesson accessible to as many people as possible. Most people don’t even know what sin(x) looks like.

Very nice work Eddie. On powered systems Electro-Magnetic Radiation can be a hazard working with powered radio waves. 1. Don't fall off the antenna, you're up on a height above ground. 2. Never stand up close and personal to the antenna. There are some amazing large High Voltages and Currents close to the transmission antenna 3. RF Burns of the coax connectors on dowered systems. Not to mention the skin effect. Thank You 🙂

The analogy of the guitar doesn't quite work, does it? You can sing the note to the string to cause it to vibrate, because the air already vibrates and it moves the string anyway. But radio is electromagnetic radiation, it doesn't move things on its own (solar sails excluded, which is a tiny amount). So how does it work then?

Eddie, you show radio waves as being the lowest frequency, and I mostly see the same thing when I Google the subject; but, at some point in the past I think I encountered a phenomenon involving EM waves with frequencies below 4000 Hz and down to 30 Hz. Have you encountered anything of this sort? I think such waves may have been referred to as motor noise, relating them to EM disturbances caused by rotating electromagnetic coils.

I really love your energy and your style of teaching, yet I have to admit the set up of "ultimate Classroom" feels a bit off. A bit artificial, something that contradicts the passion and attachment your earlier videos had. I don't claim sovereignty of interpretation what is good and what is bad , it's only what I "feel" when I watch this setup. Wish you all the best and may there be a day when every school has their own Eddie Woo.

I love your enthusiasm in teaching. I think the subject matter should be deliberated by students and teachers together to find deeper more meaningful understandings within each person's view, respecting the student's role in hoisting the torch of knowledge, in that each time an "isness" of reality is discovered for the first time by a person it is as if the knowledge is obtained for the first time ever, there is always a new avenue and freshness to growth/discovery in life. I mention this because "parroting" knowledge in contrast is such a waste, having a bird speak perfectly but not know what he is speaking about, like a slave that owns nothing and echoes many things. I hope education tends towards the former. I can't presume your thoughts on the matter but I feel you are helping the case, thanks.

Just think for a second.... without prejudice....if atheists are right and there is truly no God, I'd die and stop existing. Simple as that...but think...if Christian's are right, it would be an entirely different story🤧. When logically comparing the stakes, I'd rather be a Christian and proven when I die that there is no God, than to be an atheist and proven when I die that there is God....and my eternity would be forever...lost♥️.
