It's how the games work, but casinos make most of their money (or lose most of their money in the case of poorly managed casinos) through drinks and entertainment, same as any other bar usually

@@CrashSable Or serve drinks for free, underpaying the waitresses who depend on tips from people who slowly but surely lose their bankroll on house games. Those games more often than not *are* the entertainment.
