I am still watching this beautiful performance. This is an excellent performance of Beauty & the Beast. I have had the chance to hear it live many times since 1983 when she released it. While this is stunning I believe her best live versions were at the Caesars Palace shows in May of 2005 when she did that amazing run there. I think some of those are here on You Tube. Anyway Great Performance. I wonder why she has never done anything commercially with the Orchestral Shows recorded here in Australia 2006?

It’s too bad this never got professionally released on dvd, even though it was planned on being released. The entire shows were professionally filmed but for some reason Stevie could barely keep her eyes open (watch all the other videos). She kept her eyes closed through almost every song. Many fans thought it was from her trying Botox or having LASIK surgery before heading to Australia. Regardless, Stevie’s voice (fresh off her Gold Dust Tour in 2005) was in fine form.

This was never released as a live concert because the audio people fucked up the beginning and missed Dreams/Outside the Rain... They did a second take after the concert ended but I guess it messed up the flow or Stevie wasn't happy with the end result...I wish they would have released it anyway!!!!
