Yes we are not of this world...Fasting... A week is too short. 21 days is too short...Veggie broth and electrolytes and vitamins should be added after 7 days. I keep failing when I fast, 10 days is my max. 40 days with 6+ hours of prayer/praise is the way. One day I will make it 40 days. To live for love...that means...to put everything else behind you...all fleshy desires (they are not bad, but they are not love)...to focus on love and not focus on shelter, money, sex, food, what people think, or even changing the world...to focus just on just love, prayer and praise...silence of mind...and bliss. Union.

What would you say to someone who has begged for Christ to indwell them for 40 years? Someone who has no other thought all day and all night but God, where are you, God please be with me, God I’m searching for you above all things? Someone who has thrown away their life in order to find God, who reads the scriptures over and over and over until their Bible falls apart? Someone who has rebuffed the world with such determination that all their friends and family think they’re insane? Someone who suffers multiple, long-term, chronic health issues, which mean their whole live is either suffering or seeking God, nothing else? Someone who, every time they reach deeper than ever before to walk with Christ no matter the result, suffers physical injuries, is physically beaten, injured, or struck down? Sort this out. What if everything I just described happened to someone like Misty Edwards, someone who burned for the truth, someone for whom nothing else mattered, for 40 years, with no improvement? This person can’t any longer make music, can’t give talks, can’t even go to church. What would you say, Misty? Sort this out. No answer. No comfort. Only silence. And yet the Bible says God is searching throughout the earth for people like this. It takes 1,000 people to pray earnestly for this person to just have a few hours rest and peace. But the next day the pain, loneliness, and helplessness return. You preach a deep, challenging message. But what if someone takes you up on it? You dared us. I know someone who took up that dare decades ago. What would you say to them? I dare anyone to answer this comment.

To the person who posted comment: I would say that you knew about the current scandal before it broke publicly. To this lady preacher I would say: you’ve clearly been having some mental health issues since your teens. These struggles made you ripe for abuse by a cult leader. You need professional, non-religious help ASAP. Once you come out on the other side of psychiatric help and get with normal Jesus, you’ll have an amazing story to tell and could help a lot of people. I hope you do & wish you the best!
