About setup for amp...It's hard to say because it depends on the situation each time, but usually my guitar has too much bass, so I set the bass less, the midrange about the middle, and the treble a little more than the midrange.

that guitar would sound better to me if I were playing it...not because I think I play better than you, I don't think that way... but just because it would be mine and i'd hear it every day...i have a Guild X500 and and L-5. but nothing beats a Super 400 to my ears. I have a 400C which is marvelous but not a CES. The early 60s ones are my favorite. Which year is yours?

@@junsatsuma is it the 1 9/16" nut or 1 11/16"/. most of that year are the small nut width (from what i have read). i have a '68 Super 400 CN. the sound is simulatenousy wonderful yet a bit thin...but every note pops out and sustains. the neck is 1 9/16" and i love it. but i am a smaller fellow. after listening to your guitar i am sorry i passed on a '69 super 400ces that was beautiful but i already has this one. you sound great. btw.
