So I had to delete, re-edit, mess with my audio settings, and re-upload because Tim's bass was legitimately too much for the settings I use for everything from past reactions, to streaming explosion heavy games like Call of Duty. If that isn't a compliment of his abilities, I don't know what is.

Peter has a couple of collaborations with Home Free that are really good. One is "Amazing Grace" and the other is a cover of a U2 song, "Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For". The second has a nice surprise in it. BTW, did you notice that when Tim hits that final note you can see the camera shaking?
@DanFromHali3 жыл бұрын
Yes I did. And I chose not to react to that because it looked more like an effect, than natural from his voice causing it, and if thats the case, I thought it was kind of hokey. But if that was caused naturally, and hey it could have. I'm not suggesting it is impossible, then my bad. I just didn't want my reaction to that, to take away from my reaction to the rest of the video... especially if it was wrong. So yeah, it was a conscious, in the moment decision.

Great to see your reaction to this one - simply epic bass and Peter and Tim's voices blend so well together. They used to sing in the same acapella group at one time (before Tim joined Home Free and Peter started his channel) and they still sound great. If you're looking for more Hound and the Fox to react to, they've collabed with Peter several times - he was the one that gave FifGen their start, making his videos. Or if there's one of Peter's songs from games that you haven't heard yet, they are always excellent.
@DanFromHali3 жыл бұрын
Well those songs of Peters from games and whatnot are actually how I found Peter. I'm a major MAJOR fan of Lindsey Stirling. Started following him when they did their Skyrim collab, and have been with him ever since. Pretty sure the only reason I have never watched this is because I had already seen him do Misty Mountains, and figured there was nothing worth adding to listen to again... I was wrong.

@@DanFromHali I actually found him through the Lord of the Rings music he did, and that eventually led me to Home Free - it was great fun to come back to this once I actually knew Tim, as I didn't make the connection straight away. I don't know if you heard my first upload but it was bad. The raw video was fine, I listened to it before I popped it over for trimming up in Vegas, but than Vegas has my gaming settings in it with Gain maxed, my compressor is virtually non existent.. and I was just like, well the audio sounded great. I even checked out my mic beforehand... Nope. I uploaded it, and it sounded exactly the way it came in to my headphones, loud and vibrating. Which is awesome. But speakers and headphones can get expensive lol. So yeah, I had to delete it, and fix things up as much as I could. I even played this video back, to streamline a audio settings profile just for Tim, so I can avoid that in the future.
@Smilodon19853 жыл бұрын
Note: to be more accurate, he doesn't actually *blow* the speakers, he clips out the amps. After a brief respite, the internal breakers reset and the sound is restored. Modern sound systems are protected against actual blowouts in this way - but nonetheless, it's pretty impressive. Part of that, of course, is the way the sound engineer has Tim's mic cranked up to amplify his voice - but that's another story.

Now that you've done Misty Mountain, I highly recommend Greensleeves next. Peter and Tim's rendition of this timeless classic is magical. I don't even really know how to classify that final note from Tim. It sounded like a subharmonic and a growl.
