Impossible to choose! Depending on the mood and occasion, every single piece has its place! Congratulations 🍾🎉🎈🎊, Luisa, you did it again! The necklace with the big, deep red pendant is stunning, but again, who am I to choose? The Coil Buddy is a WONDERFUL invention, maybe with small and light beads one could use softer memory wire and the beads would sit correctly. I will give it a try. In any case, Luisa, the bracelets and earrings are also beautiful and elegant! Have a great 👍🏻 day!
@MistyMoonDesigns4 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much Helga. About Coil Buddy...I actually did try using smaller beads but if they’re glass beads, I’m afraid the patterns still shift because of the wait. For thinner wire, you can use the “retrain” method. I’ve done that many times with .7mm gauge. But my favorite gauge is still .8mm which holds the patterns well 🙂

Hi Louisa, I commented already, but as usaual, I have more to say. Listen carefully, youll hear, Im whispering....none of your work is ever 'bleh'. I am a recent subscriber to your channel and want to thank you for being candid about how long you took to come up with a first design. I am a hobbyist with a little over a year experience and I take many hours to put together a design. I'm still in the process of making something, finding it unsatisfactory, and remaking it for most designs and I'm learning a lot from you. Your camera work stands out from a lot of the other designers on YT, your pacing is great and easy to follow, and your instructions are clear. Now I want to let you know that I love Y-shape necklaces (as well as lariats) and the first necklace IMHO is beautiful, also the last two. This video has stimulated my imagination and creativity. I also used to struggle with color until I bought a color wheel; now I can branch out from monotones, lol. Thank you for your videos and all of your hard work of putting them together.

My Grand daughter asked me if I could make her a necklace like yours and I said only if the artist herself says it's okay. I told her that you never copy someone's work and out of respect for all their hard work you always ask them first. So for my grand daughter may I use your beautiful design for her to make a necklace like the one with the leaves and red stones? Lovely necklaces! My favorite is the one that you really liked and wore at the end too. I know it’s supposed to be Autumn inspired but the combination of the orange and green kept giving me Christmas vibes... I’m not a fan of orange and yellow, although I absolutely adore Autumn - it’s quite an internal conflict for me! Lol! I love the combination of deep reds/wine and gold - that’s my favorite Autumn combination. I think my pendent is really dark too - I haven’t done anything with this set yet so I’ll have to pull them out and look at them again. Thank you for sharing your beautiful designs!

I love them all, of course, but particularly the one you're wearing at the end. For some reason, I keep seeing it in stone. Shocker!! A certain stone, at that. 🤣🥰 Really loving the Coil Buddy, and I'm using the rods for layouts for necklace designs. It's the best thing ever, Luisa!!

Well, I loved them all. I can't pick just one. I loved the first one you made that made you think "bleh". But it really was kicked up a notch with the added choker. Good call. Beautiful combination. And I totally loved the one with the pendant and the chips (though they looked like unakite to me instead of jasper, but whatever -- "a rose by any other name...".) I thought they were all striking. Loved the earrings and bracelet, too. I loved this month's collection and love everything you made with it (whole lotta love happening here). However, as usual, my mind is wondering why the gauge of the memory wire makes a difference as to the overall size. The beads themselves (as to size) are, of course, the main factor. But how does what is running through those beads affect the outcome? I'm sure I'm being thick, please correct me. Again, thanks for sharing your inspired ideas!
@katymaffei67914 жыл бұрын
Louisa, your creations are unique and beautiful as always. Im having a hard time deciding which is my favorite, although it might be the last necklace in the collection. Youre wire wrapping astounds me...I just keep practicing, I find its easier and flows better if I think of a rhythm and stick to it with each wrapped loop. Cant wait to try out my coil buddy, and Im so glad you mentioned the size again. You look beautiful in all of your jewelry Louisa!!
@MistyMoonDesigns4 жыл бұрын
Okay...now I’m thinking you might be right about the unakite. So after I get done here I’m going to run to my studio to check out those chips! What would I do without you? 🙂 but seriously...I do appreciate your observations very much because I know you’re probably not the only one who questioned it. And of course...I love your mind, your thought process, and your very constructive and educational feedback. About the memory wire...the gauge is usually not an issue when designing patterns that don’t require alignment across multiple coils. But the gauge becomes important when you’re creating precise patterns using my invention The Coil Buddy. It’s a precision tool that works best with memory wire that holds its shape and anything less than .8mm gauge will not hold its shape when loaded with beads. 😊🌺🌸🌼
