I find the casino environment to be more comfortable than practice. In practice the cards are farther away from me and I'm dealing them. In casinos the cards are closer, so while I was used to focusing in more carefully, the casino environment required less focus. Also, the casino noise environment sounds more natural than blasting sound nearby. This gave me more ability to develop my act.

She said when working in groups the big player has information that is “ not available to other people at the table” when is absolutely false. Anyone who puts the time in will know what the count is at all times and won’t join a shoe if they didn’t.

The takeaway was not that one person can't do it, the idea is that one person can only do maybe three or four tables, tops, so you waste a lot of time before one of those hits. With spotters, they can cover every table on the floor.

The information couldn’t be more available so what she said is not only just an ignorant statement but it’s just the opposite of the truth...

So, if card counters are "cheaters" (which this casino security woman, whoever she is, adamantly maintains) what about solo counters? She says counting is cheating when done as a team because the big player has "access to information that no one else at the table has". I guarantee she'd say that individual counter is still a cheater. I'm all for the free market and for the casinos to operate as they do, within the law. But people like this woman want suckers and losers only; that's how they built Vegas!

I don't see how people can call counting cheating. Its just using information thats available to everyone at the table to bet at the correct times. Casinos are little babies. They have no problem taking everyones money but if they only make 9 billion instead of 11 billion they start crying.

Ultimately any establishment can say to someone "Sorry, we don't want your business" without reason. But they can't prosecute, casinos have tried in the past and lost badly!

In Canadian Casino's they have to let you play but the burn is they scrap the shoe at 50% or so and start over with new decks.

Start increasing at +5

Depends on the number of decks in the game. If it's a six or eight-deck shoe wait until roughly half the decks have been run through, then look for +8 counts.

If your true count is 3 multiply your unit count by two. For example, if true count is 4 and you were betting $5 or $10, increase your bet to $20. If true count goes up to 5, now you are betting $50 or whatever.

1st you have to know the difference between true count and running count which you need to look up yourself but you raise your bet at a true 2. I personally raise my bet slightly at a true 1.5 but it depends on the rules of the game you play

If you got more + counting so the hi cards that still at the deck will be more so your chance become bigger to get the hi cards. But the dealer also has same chance to get the high cards.

no a day casino has auto card shuffling machines,will you be able to get a true count from the game and how? You won't know how many decks of they are using..

52 cards in a deck. If you know the thickness of a deck it's not hard. Roofers do the same when estimating a roof without a ladder. A bundle spans a specific number of shingles one bundle goes 2 of those stretches 3 tabs and there you go. The diagonal you just count one end and ignore the other and it evens out.

Not sure why there is such a crybaby attitude towards card counters. It is an advantage, not a guarantee. I have counted cards 4 times in the casinos and sometimes I do very well, and sometimes I get my ass handed to me even with a running count in the + double digits. Knowing how to count cards gives you more information (i.,e, I should hit here because the chances of me getting a low card are pretty good, whereas before, I might have chickened out and stayed), but it is no more 'cheating' than knowing more and better basic strategy than the average Joe blackjack player.
