the exams themselves should be analytical and application based . writing and practical should be simultaneous . Or teaching should be in a way that knowledge becomes primary and marks become secondary . In my college , Half the batch rotted books and always only asked for question bank or notes . To everyone saying they cant get to MIT always remember the fundamentals will always be the same. If you cant get into MIT then you can try force yourself to start thinking creatively about the things you learn and try to build things no matter how simple. You'll be amazed how much higher thinking and innovation suddenly comes into your head just by creating something. You can also create cool projects by fully understanding the different forms of energy and how they can be converted to one another. Tools like Solidworks help you visualise and simulate stuff. Very costly software but they have some student versions. Also gettinga 3D printer if you can afford it, play around with arduino and watch channels like these to get motivated kzbin.infovideos ,kzbin.infovideos
