Saxophonist & Flautist Mitch Frohman, known for his 25-year stint with the Tito Puente Orchestra as well as his many years with the Mongo Santamaria band, has embarked on a new small group project featuring himself accompanied by the Curtis Brothers trio. Playing new original music in the classic Tito Puente/Mongo Santamaria style that has brought him acclaim for almost 40 years to all corners of the world, Mitch has finally released his own solo album, "From Daddy With Love" (Truth Revolution Records). Frohman is the leader/co-leader of three of the most in-demand Latin & Latin-Jazz groups; The Bronx Horns, The Mambo Legends Orchestra (former Tito Puente All-Star musicians), and the Eddie Torres Mambo Kings Dance Show Orchestra. He has also played with greats; Celia Cruz, Machito, La Lupe, Cheo Feliciano, Eddie & Charlie Palmieri, Blood Sweat & Tears, Paul Simon, David Byrne, The Spanish Harlem Orchestra, Milly, Jocelyn & Los Vecinos and even Aventura! Of course his signature sound can be heard somewhere in the world everyday as he is the sax soloist on the theme of TV's mega- hit "Sex & The City". After almost 40 years in the Latin Jazz community Mitch Frohman is long overdue to present his own music to the faithful Latin jazz audience.

shout out to the talented group of musicians that Fantastically performed along side an accomplished and talented saxophonist. it makes my soul happy when other musicians give light to a brother that, in his own craft, is a crucial part of the fabric of THE LATIN sound.. I, myself am a percussionist. we can exist on our own. but in this world of making great latin music, we need others that carry our latin sound. Charlie parker is only a fraction of the presences of the sax, that has done wonders for the latin sound. . not everything is the timbales, the piano, bongos ext....nuff respect to the band members and especially the tenor.....
