Mitch has called himself the ‘Queen of Reverb’ and he used it beautifully on this one. It is ethereal, magical, amazing. One of my favorite things about PTX is that they are fully supportive of each other’s individual projects, which I hope continues. I agree with others, who could ever overlook Mitchy?!

That is exactly what Shawn Stockman said after PTX performed The Dog Days Are Over which was their 12th performance of THe Sing Off competition that they won! Shawn was a judge Mitch had finally been truly showcased and it was the performance that solidified their win!

In the original video, one woman commented how hearing this song stopped her from killing herself. And that was followed by such an amazing outpouring of love and support. Just goes to show how we are often not even aware of the impact we have on others... The ripple effect, I like to call it... And I think I read that Mitch performed all the vocal, played the piano... Everything except film himself.

Hi, I don’t think any PTX fan could ever overlook Mitch. The beauty of PTX is that each member is an absolutely amazing singer with there own strengths, even Keven who is world class beatboxer has a beautiful voice. Each member could and often do have solo projects, but put the 5 together and you have the voices of angels. Thank you so much for sharing this video xxx

Mitch used reverb, however his voice can sound very similar to reverb without any effects if he wants it to. Also idk how reactors ignore him, if they don't acknowledge this goddess than I don't watch their videos anymore.

For this cover, Mtch made his own music, played the piano, added strings and mixed. Once, during an interview with Ptx, the question was asked who is the best singer in the band and everyone unanimously pointed to Mitch. So I am surprised that he sings so little as a lead. He is amazing. Highly recommend his other covers, older "Graveyard" and "Find you".

A late comment but one reason he might be more in the background sometimes (although, he does his fair share of lead) might be because the background parts are often harder than the solo in their arrangements. Scott has talked about how doing the background is often more technically hard and uses more stamina. So since Mitch have such control I can see wanting to have him holding up the foundation.

I’m late but I think it was actually genious in their first years of working to have put Mitch mostly in the background there’s so many reasons other than music that made them take that decision but in regards to the music they make, Mitch was their secret weapon in the sing off and he remained that ever since so he mostly takes up the hard parts and/or the most important, most flamboyant ones and that’s genious because they are able to create climaxes, and tensions and intensity that are soooo impactful because Mitch comes out specifically in those moments and it’s such a good way to highlight his talent too imo he’s the one people talk about the most when mentioning PTX and it’s because he takes the most impressive parts and we’re often times taken by surprise when he comes out so yeah that was a good decision imo

Mitch is my favorite member of PTX for so many reasons, but the main reason is that his voice is unlike anything I've ever heard before. It's so pure and ethereal and angelic and it just captivates you and draws you in. I am also a singer, I took choir for 3 years in high school and have been singing since I was little and he inspires me so much. I'm nowhere near as good a singer as him, but he inspires me to sing more and hopefully one day I'll get to sing for him or with him if I ever meet him in person. He is also incredibly humble and genuinely kind for someone so talented. He has an amazing personality and huge heart.

I love the impact that Mitch’s performance of this song has on people. I could be imagining it but i felt like it even got you to sit surprisingly still and talk lower and at a slower pace 😂😂 It conjures up this very specific, introspective mood. This is such a stunning, gorgeous cover! Mitch arranged it, including the music behind his vocals. He's such an amazing vocalist. Every other member of Pentatonix, past and present, has said that Mitch has the best voice in the group at one time or another. I definitely agree. I enjoy how you express how blown away you are by such a performance in your reaction. I also appreciate Courtney suggesting you react to this one. I have been following her PWN channel from the beginning and so appreciate how hard she works to keep us up with all that they get up to as they continue to grow as individuals as well as the amazing group they are.

Mitch really knocked this one out of the park! An absolute masterpiece! He did everything for this video except run the camera. He played the piano part, arranged the orchestration AND did all the audio engineering. He is most definitely multi-talented. I don’t think he’s overlooked in PTX, the group members certainly value him & PTX fans in general adore him. But I can’t work out why the whole world isn’t talking about him & his voice. "I feel like some other people might overlook him in the group..." HAH! I'm not sure if you've ever taken the time to look at other reactors (you're one of the ones I like the most, but I cycle through nearly anyone who reacts to PTX) but if you read the comments, you'll find that LOTS of people check reactors purely to catch the "Mitch-face" stunned grouper fish reaction the first time they hear him. Hallelujah is one of the best songs to bring that out. It's very nearly become a ritual. :D So, no - I think it's safe to say that NO ONE overlooks Mitch. That said, it's Kevin that I feel doesn't get enough video time to really focus on how important he is to the whole PTX Experience. Oh, he gets remarked on frequently enough, but it sometimes feels like an afterthought because he rarely gets the chance to SING and that's what mostly grabs the attention, apparently.

argh. so frustrating. (for me). I saw the release of this from Mitch and within minutes viewed it from date of his release. I sent it to you instantaneously.... frustrating for me because a paying patreon member quite some time late got the attention. I can't work. I don't earn money to pay a patreon but offered you the early uptake of it. Still you waited till you got payment for the upload. so depressing

Hey Julie, Sorry for your frustration. I appreciate you notifying me right away. I really do. The problem is I get dozens or hundreds of suggestions per day. Even when something new comes out, I'm not in a position to drop everything I'm working on to go do it right away. I try my best to check out new content early, but I also have a lot of obligations to fulfill between family obligations, the multiple channels I run, and the Patreon as well. It just so happened, that one of my Patrons also messaged me when this video dropped and said they would like it as their dedicated request for that month. So at my first opportunity I recorded it and gave them a shout out. I didn't wait until I got payment for the uploaded, I would have gotten to this video at some point, it's just when it was given to me a paid request then of course that pushes it up on my work queue because I had to fulfill that request during that specific month. I no longer take paid requests on my Patreon. I canceled that feature a long time ago, however, I am still honoring that feature for people who are on that "grandfathered" plan and have been supporting me on Patreon for years. All that to say I do thank you for passion and for watching the channel. :) I just wanted to explain it from my point of view. Hope you have an awesome day.
