Would love to have seen Berkman take the Navy coaching job a few years back. He is definitely a legend that makes good players great players...just what Navy needs. I'll take the top 5 D3 teams against any mid major D1 team. Programs like SU, Tufts, RIT...they have DI talent just like Berkman pointed out, but not the depth on the roster. D3 has over 200 mens teams! Because of that, you'll have a lot of weaker programs. I don't think any D1 team would want to schedule SU for a non conference regular season game...they'd loose recruits.
