What is big? If you're not building some enterprise level app Firebase will probably suffice. If you really need to use something custom it is purely personal preference, or whatever language you want to work in. Let's say you're using Spring, Express, Laravel or python. At the end of the day you're just sending a bunch of data in json format to your flutter app.

Thanks for your reply. I appreciate it . Regarding Udemy, if you try to look at unity courses and in flutter courses . You will see that if you combined 3 of your courses and put them on the udemy platform, you will have free exposure + increases of sales, especially if the students there liked your content (I am sure they will) I bought befoe all flutte and dert rcourses on Udemy ... i learned from your unique and simple approach better .... some of the courses there made millions of sales, and some of them had over 100k students. And since you already have the content, it's worth a shot . * I like to track my progress + get self learning certificates. That is the reason I use udemy ... it's honest advice. flutter is for the frontend part of the app (like buttons and UI), firebase is for the backend part that deals with authentication and storing data. Firebase basically makes your app 'online'. Man your videos are good but i beleive logic to perform backend API calls are bad, because for blocked users you are using forloop for get each user information so many network calls, just make a list and then fetch. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong or I didn't understand

Is there a reason why snapshot has an error when trying to go to the blocked users page from the settings? I bought the full code and have been trying to see a difference but I can't seem to find one... help would be appreciated!

@@createdbykoko Thank you so much for your willingness to help! So the error happens when the user goes to settings and clicks on Blocked Users. Instead of seeing the blocked users, it says, "error loading..", which is part of the code on the blocked_users_page.dart. It's obviously triggering the line if (snapshot.hasError) { return const Center(child: Text("Error loading..") So for some reason the snapshot does have an error. I don't really even know what the snapshot is...

@@CaughtYouEntertainment hey let me help you. Firstly did u create this user in firebase? Secondly, in the Auth Service, you know how we have that sign in method inside a try catch method right? We can try to investigate the error further. For example maybe add: Print(e) or print(e.code) Or something similar when we catch the error. Then we u try to login and it doesn’t work, we can see in our debug console what the error is. Lmk if ur following :)
