2:30 VERY IMPORTANT and thank you for talking about this as I was looking to find out more info about this. Because I didn't put the cup properly into my frame I had a little gap inside between the crank shaft and the BB shell and that created 2 lines of wear on my Crank spindle, is not compromised but I really don't like that. Now that I serviced my bearings on my 4 year old MFG BB I put the BB shell in the correct way and yeah....THANK YOU!

No worries my friend! Enjoy the ride :)

Great video! But which tools did you use to remove and install the BB? I would've loved to have seen that process.
@MitchOnTwoWheels Жыл бұрын
To remove was a standard Sram BB tool. To install required the proprietary tool from the manufacturer

@@MitchOnTwoWheels much appreciate the quick reply! Would you mind sharing a link for the BB tool? I just bought a used Stigmata frame and would love to have the setup as you. TIA!

The Sram tool should be easy. The Wheels Manufacturing one: wheelsmfg.com/presses-tools/bb-wrench-48-5mm-44mm.html

Thanks! Pretty straight forward!

No problem. It should be pretty simple compared to a Cervelo ;)

How many miles did you get out of the old bb?
@MitchOnTwoWheels3 жыл бұрын
It had 6,300km on it before finally pulling the plug. It started showing signs around 5,000km, but some extra grease was able to get some more life out of it.

Was going to ask the same... @lankycyclist, have you had to replace yours yet?

@@bike6747 Not yet, but I'm not quite the cycling machine that Mitch is!

LOL! If I’m a machine, I would be the equivalent of a 87 Toyota Corolla.... just barely working!

I don’t understand?

Made in USA, not China! Made in Taiwan is good too. The Taiwanese have mastered Bicycle component manufacturing. Chinese made products have a bad stigma. The fact labor is cheaper and QC is often times neglected to cut corners on margins on such low wholesale pricing. I hope the world don’t see the Chinese as inferior as some of their exports. The quality of the people and the products they make have no correlation I hope.

I’m loving it so far… no issues. Kind of reminds me of Chris King quality wise.
