Oh My gosh you did a world class video with the split screen, CLOSE UPS, camera angles, crisp images, graphics and tool requirements and fast forward throughs the repetitive parts. It is undoubtedly the best instructional video I've ever seen. I have a 2004 Burgman and only watched it for fun but it was great. You did a very impressive job!!!!! You're the man!

At 32 500 kms I just finished checking the valve clearances (they were ok!) and replacing the antifreeze in my 2009 Burgman 400ABS. I followed your excellent videos step by step. I found the hardest was removing-installing the plastic fairings. Can't imagine doing this without your guidance. Only glitch was when I reinstalled the valve cover the spark-plug seal became displaced (as you mention to take care!) so when I started the engine, oil was coming out from a hole on the left side of the engine. Had to re-open the cover and re-install properly! As for the coolant change, after four drain and replenish with water, the liquid was still showing a light greenish color. I went ahead and fill with new coolant anyway. I can't thank you enough for your guidances and looking forward for your next maintenance videos!

Great instructional video again! You are super thorough with your maintenance procedures. Most people would just let old stuff drain out, maybe flush "one time" with distilled water, and then fill it up and call it good. You make sure all old residue is completely cleared out before refilling which is the proper way of doing it as you demonstrated. Seems like for that model you spend 1/2 the time removing/replacing all the access panels than the procedure itself Lol. Hopefully you stay busy at your location keeping others scooters maintained. Nothing like making a little side money on a hobby you enjoy :-)

I'm surprised Suzuki has made sooooo hard to do simple things.Access Panels could have been made alot easier, Access to the radiator cap could have been placed under the lefthand stowage box, the radiator lower hose could have had an independant access panel or do away with stupid long panels and make a short panel to get at the hoses.Yes I'm a class 1 vehicle mechanic.

@raymondkidwell71354 жыл бұрын
I don't think its necessary to go all out like he did with the syringe, blowing into the tube etc. I bought my burgman 11 years old never had any maintenance done to it. Engine never ran hot always right at the middle level. But since it recommended a coolant flush I did it. I just went under the pipe and popped that rubber hose off. At first nothing came out. I started shaking the bike and stuff then a decent amount poured out. Seems after 11 years the coolant evaporates or dries up but like I said it was still running fine. It was hard to get to the top thing to pour more in, I admit but not a huge deal. Then I loosened that one screw a bunch of air was coming out of it. I didn't bother pouring a water flush or get the exact amount in with a syringe or blowing through the hoses. The engine never even ran hot when it was half air in there when I bought it. The engine is so small it isn't likely to overheat. My Honda Rebel 250 (or just about any 250) doesn't even have coolant- its air cooled because its such a small engine. 400 is only a couple sizes up from that. If I were going to take a long trip like riding it hard on the highway all day I would probably put some new coolant in it but other that it will ride fine even with dried out coolant like when I bought it.
@monelfunkawitz39664 жыл бұрын
@@raymondkidwell7135 it is not that the coolant dries out. The coolant's additive package gets depleted. There are additives that do things like prevent corrosion, lubricate the coolant pump, neutralize contaminants, etc. Flushing the coolant is mandatory because of this and also because it removes any junk that has collected.
