Mitchy is 1000% correct about the San Diego syndrome. It is deeply woven in to the fabric of SD culture to HATE on and CLOWN SD based sports and entertainment. Been like that since I was a kid. San Diego is territorial because of the gang culture. There's only so many gangs out there that actually can get along and do music together. The crips vs everybody, lincoln-eh-brims vs skyline-ofpb. Born n Raised SD.... We get looked down on by every other major city in the state bc Daygo never really had its own identifiable organic California culture other than the weather, beaches, and military. It's the 2nd biggest city in the state and the last one named for a culture recognized by those out of state! That alone has bred an inhouse self hate that makes Daygo a crab in a barrel city! Since we can't be bigger, or well known, than other places the cannibalism mentality was inevitable.

We used to break at Red Zone arcade in Encanto 83'. What yall kmow bout it. Late 90's grinding on the pile with them Gladiators. Who You With at Travs pad. Suga Shizzy, Saigon, Dorian. During them Black Mikey days. The homie Mink use to put it down at his lab in NP. What you know bout dat SE1. Real Dago Hip Hop history. Ecay Uno. Steve Vicious was banging beats in Morse band. Jam was doing Gompers day dances back in 83'-84'. ReaL history. Gadget Boys. Gucci Crew. Skate rink days. Them days when the relly was a Nutt not a Ruger. Facts. From 5/9 to the Skyline, the Hills to the bank, Ysidro to the O. Dago has plenty of musical talent. My lil bro and Rodney said it best. Stop hating on me.
