I had a bit of design flaw in my cabinet. In this video I show you the modification that I made to make the cabinet Stronger.

Anybody can show an edited video, it takes a person with integrity to share both accomplishments and failures. We learn best for short comings and failures, and most of all it opens or eyes to other aspects of building. Job Well Done and Thank You. I learned a lot. But most of all I showed this to my young nephew that we all make mistakes but it’s how we handle them. Thank You Again. This is a Great Teaching Video.

Don't worry about the mistake. You learned from it and so did we. That is the important part. It also makes you human and if anyone says anything just block them from saying anything else about your videos. The best channels are the ones that share their mistakes with their audience!

Knowing how KZbin can be very critical, it's sometimes scary to post your mistakes. I'm glad people will appreciate the mistake instead of just thinking I'm an idiot!

You made a couple of mistakes, it happens. You found them you fixed them. Don't ever call yourself stupid, if your world is anything like mine there are probably far too many people waiting to call you names. You sir a maker, a brave one at that since you were willing to publicize your mistakes. Keep on keeping on!

No one is free from mistakes. I just felt stupid because i know better. And yeah... people on KZbin just love to attack. I don't bother with those comments. The good comments outweigh the bad. I just ignore the jerks.

Don’t be so hard on yourself, fyi I see other KZbinrs all the time use the same method and never talk about it. I agree a solid support was the best option but woodworking and building is all about making mistakes and learning and improving from them! That’s the beauty especially with shop furniture and construction is you can scrap ideas or improve beyond what you though was capable

Mistakes happen and we learn from them. You'll never do that again. And the fix was pretty painless. I have a friend that always says that to make mistakes you first have to be doing something. Nice save.

I think you should have made a solid cross pieces on the back as well. You can see the back cross members sagging. Just notch out for your divider.
@termitewoodwerx58966 жыл бұрын
I may have to. I also have one more adjustable foot thingy I can put in the rear so the floor can support it. It seems to be holding ok though.

did the beams in front but not the back. looks like it was floating on the back too?

Nice repair and glad you noticed weaknesses however, what the hell were removal guys doing standing on your furniture? Not a very professional service you received there

Moving, not removal.

You really didn't make as much of a mistake as you think. other then the bottom rail should be one solid piece. kitchen cabinets are built like this. but we just don't have 200 lb person walking on then.
@termitewoodwerx58964 жыл бұрын
It was definitely abused, but I still felt the design was poor. Still learning...
@andrewgonzales37156 жыл бұрын
Was not ur fault. We don’t build are shop Stations to hold 200lbs plus.. it’s the movers fault for standing up there
@termitewoodwerx58965 жыл бұрын
Thanks. I'm still unhappy with my design. I finally try to over build, but I came up short this time.
