I'm with Ross on this one in regards to the clock. When I'm sleeping and I wake up in the middle of the night, or in the morning, or whenever, instead of having to look at my phone, I'd rather just look at some red numbers. It's not a problem about self-control, it's about wanting to know how many hours you have to sleep after waking from a weird dream. Plus, most devices produce blue light that messes with your ability to sleep, so unless you're getting a special light filter on your devices, turning on your device in the middle of your sleep schedule can wreck it. Maybe just a quick look at your phone for the time won't hurt too much, but hey, every little bit counts.

To support Ross's point. I own the projection clock and when you wake up at 3 in the morning it's way easier to stare at the ceiling to see the time and go back to bed than to sit up and look at your phone and get blinded by the screen.
