This made everything so clear... most professors/teachers will teach this over a span of two lectures which causes information to be jumbled up due to the many similarities between them. Having them presented like this is so much more clear and intuitive!

By far the clearest explanation of mitosis/meiosis I have ever seen! Most books or videos do not explicity state which strands are which (identical, paternal/maternal, copied, etc), leaving one very confused as to what actually transpired. Your explicit description is quite welcome. Thank you!

This was one of the best explanations I've heard. Sometimes you actually have to go more in-depth rather than simplified to get a working concept of something. The presenter did a good job of being rigorous with his vocabulary. I can't even count how many times I've been confused by people saying "23 pairs of chromosomes". If I understand correctly, humans would have 23 pairs of chromatin, for a total of 23 chromosomes.

Hi there, great video. Could you please help me? i'm so confused about something. The dna replication part, for example, you said there are 4 strands of dna in each chromatid (so 1 dna strand in each chromatid) but i always thought that each chromatid would have two dna strands (one dna molecule) instead of one strand, since dna is double stranded. Then after the replication happens wouldnt one chromosome have 4 dna strands (2 dna molecules)? Correct me if i'm wrong.
