(got this from reddit) “Hi Everyone! I wanted to bring some clarity to an otherwise enigmatic mystery! I am the drag performer on the cover of this album! Then everyone knew me as “Trixie Doll,” but Trixie Mattel became famous and I couldn’t bare to share the same name as a more famous drag queen. I have since evolved to be better known as “Pixel the Drag Jester.” At the time, Mitski and I were going to the same college, SUNY Purchase. I believe this was taken in 2012. SUNY Purchase has a very strong LGBTQ and drag queen community. We were doing a drag show in the outdoor theater and Jade Green was there taking pictures. I was one of the first drag queens to integrate hula hooping into their performances (if you find other photos from the series, you can see me hula hooping that night!) and I was performing with another SUNY Purchase drag king “Ricky Deluca” who is better known as Taylor Page. They are a VERY talented filmmaker and they have an awesome TikTok @TrashPrince522”
