Mitski in support of her latest album "The Land is Inhospitable and So Are We" brought the tour to NYC with 7 shows. Four shows were at the Beacon Theatre and then three shows at the King's Theatre, in Brooklyn. I had no luck getting the tickets when they initially dropped as demand was crazy. But as expected, things died down a bit when it came time for shows. My friend Brian C. couldn't make it and sold me his ticket here in the loge. While I was waiting my friend Julia alerted me of new tickets available on TM at regular price, so I had to snap up a row C orchestra for Saturday night too. Mitski urged fans to remain seated so the fans behind would have a great view of the show as well and told fans to turn off flash. The crowd was probably the most tame crowd I've seen, fans remained seated, and there were no obnoxious screaming. But in a way, with me remaining seated, I'll admit I was falling asleep at times, but maybe because I had a hard day of work.
I only have a few usable videos from his show because unfortunately an usher told me cameras weren't allowed, but cellphone were. So I had to put my camera away, but tried to get some sneaky but very bad blindly shot videos. Sound is fine but I'm mostly aiming at the back of the person behind me.
Hopefully tomorrow brings better luck.
