Hey man I really want to do an LS4 swap on a 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer. It’s a 5-speed manual but I don’t know if i could keep the stock tranny?

hmm this is a hard one. If it is transverse then you'll have to rip the trans out cause LS = big boi and you'll have to do a shit ton of other work. Besides stock Lancer transmissions are not the best so it'll be better to get a new anyways. (They are like 100hp cars so I mean honestly just not worth doing an engine swap unless you have Elon musk funding u or smth, in the case boost your heart out) Overall not a good idea you should consider other platforms to work with. Lancers (I've owned 2) aren't the best platform to work on engine swaps (unless your doing only performance mods while keeping most things stock, then it's pretty decent ex. Forger pistons, crank, new rods etc.)
