Mitsubishi Evo VS Ford Thunderbird TurboCoupe

Those Turbocoupes were such beautiful cars and nicely thought out by Ford. It's a real shame that they didn't put as much thought into the heavier Supercoupe. Why on earth didn't they proceed with a 6cyl turbocharged Thunderbird is a mystery to me. Seems like the Buick GN had set a PERFECT example.

The SuperCoupe is still a beast of a car in it's own right. It made only slightly less horsepower than the GT Mustangs but made more torque. Plus the IRS made it a better performing car all around

The only car I wish GM would of thought of. They are beautiful and they are fast I love them. Just not a Ford guy.

It only made less power because the Mustang GT was Ford's flagship. It has more torque from factory and with a simple boost controller, you can push 15-19PSI and make more power than the Mustang. It was what Nissan did with the old GTR's where they downtuned the boost to make it seem like a much more docile car.

Ford had the engine. It was being used in the Aussie Falcon, 4.0 DOHC VCT hemi 6 with up to 390 HP. in the BA Boss 290
