The 6th generation of L200/Triton was launched in Thailand on July 26, 2023, initially competed in the Asia Cross country Rally (AXCR) of the same year (3 vehicles of Team Mitsubishi Ralliart). The new model was designed by Norihiko Yoshimine, with the exterior features the “Beast mode” design concept, while the interior features the “Horizontal axis” concept with the use of geometric shapes and all contact items designed based on Mitsubishi Touch approach. The new generation has the slightly larger dimensions and 130mm longer wheelbase, compared to the previous generation which was unveiled in 2015. A new 2.4L Diesel engine (4N16) was introduced with improvements, together with a Twin-turbo variant. The Twin-turbo version of the new diesel engine generates 204PS and 470NM, 20PS and 40Nm higher when compared to the single Turbo variant and the previous 4N15 engine.

Currently, this vehicle is on sale in some Southeast Asia countries (Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and Philippines), Japan, Australia, New Zealand as Mitsubishi Triton; in Middle East countries as Mitsubishi L200.
