I see a lot of people are having trouble pulling out the side tail light, and it's easy to break if you do it the wrong way. Do not pull it from the outside, or it might break! What worked best for me is gently hitting those 2 pins that held it with a rubber hammer from the inside. Get the hammer inside behind the tail light (if you have a subwoofer, you'll need to remove it (it's held by 4 screws), otherwise you won't have enough space). Once the hammer is there, gently hit one pin with a hammer. If it doesn't go out, repeat with slightly more force. It will get out on the 2nd or 3rd try. Now repeat it with the second pin. This worked best for me, got the bulb replaced and didn't break anything.

I had the same issues pulling the side tail light out. I even broke the side corner piece. Easiest way to remove it for me was to push it from the side corner forcefully back and pulling from the screw holes on the inside. Hope that helps. 2010 DE

Hi! Just watched the vid and it was amazing coz my left rear light while reverse driving is not working (it is the first big bulb that you removed on the video) I managed to look for a replacement bulb for it, however, it still not turning on. then I tried to change the right bulb which is working to the left side, which is STILL not turning on. So, I believe the problem is not the bulb. Just want to know ur opinion. What do you think is the issue? Thanks!

watched this video on how to take out my taillight, it didnt work. i ended up snaping the corner of my taillight off, now its broken. maybe the 2011 evo mr is different because this way dosent work
