That was the era of the far east's automotive greatness. The Eclipse GSX, the Lancer Evolution, the GTO/3000GT VR-4 Mitsubishi had their revered Trinity. I don't think any automaker will EVER have the courage to catch lightning like that in a bottle again. All we can do is remember the times when we fell in love. 😢

@@ImJaspy😂 same way I feel about the FC and FB RX7s... They are great cars with potential, burn most owners are broke with big dreams... I was one of them. When I had my FC in highschool I was too broke to do bodywork and was just happy to have a rwd turbo car... Now I'm older and with a career and have different cars that are newer and up to date and even though I imagine getting another one and upgrading it, Im an older man and enjoy the performance and luxuries of newer M vehicles

@@apathy11303 the exhaust note from the BMWs isn’t for me, I live in Florida I e seen like 3 or 4 FD RX-7s and only the first one I seen had sun damage the rest of the car was fine and the other ones I’ve seen were mint. Most absurd car I seen down here so far was a VW Golf R with a small pickup truck bed

I remember back in the late '90s, early 2000s, the guys that were racing these were absolute lunatics. No sense of self-preservation. Their cars were held together with self-tappers and bailing wire and were running faster than anything else on the street. Theyd run until they broke something, take it home, wrench all week, then come out and break hearts, minds, and their car ahain the next weekend.

Since i was a kid ive always been a fan of 90's Mitsubishi's. they made some incredible cars. And honestly most of my favorite Japanese cars are Mitsubishi's. my favorite one from them (and still is to this day) is the 3000gt VR-4. Those things are just beautiful. All 3000gts are gorgeous cars. Its been my dream car since forever lol. Ive been lucky enough to get a 3000gt sl recently and man its been a blast. Wish they still made great cars. Such a shame to see my favorite car company fall off so hard man.

They are quick for sure but you're not seeing 800 whp for more than 10 seconds without brass gaskets and billet blocks. They were made to live around 550 whp well built and they rip because of the awd.
