Mitsuki is no where near as powerful as Orchimaru's fuckery was pre-death in regards to that. Just being a clone of someone doesn't mean they automatically are bestowed by the same levels of absurd(And highly forbidden self body modification) that they used to be involved with. Even now Orochimaru sustains their eternal state by a mixture of infused nature energy and hashirama cells if I remember correctly but even that will not last forever. Mitsuki is still young and Sage Mode causes a huge strain on him, which is why he can't maintain it for even a short duration. What's seriously impressive though is how quickly he can enter his sage mode, although it is pretty clear that it's not a complete sage mode so it likely strains even more.
