You should try to exchange the dial gauges and see if the accuracy has to do with the gauge or the body of the bore gauge.

i keep finding that the higher priced products are often not much better than the knockoffs, but i also keep forgetting or remembering " you get what you pay for ", is not always true. We have been getting fooled for years by these big companies, but one has to realize they are pretty good at what they do. They have us giving them money and then we walk around advertising for them. One example, is a "Polo" t-shirt we pay $25 for. What about a plain t-shirt? Noooo no. See?

Tooling is a bit different than a T-shirt. Nevertheless, I’ve found, over the decades, that some cheap Chinese tools and metrology equipment is quite accurate and reliable over the long term.

Depends on what the shirt is made out of. The polo could be 100% cotton vs the Walmart 100% polyester which is not great for human health. But I’d be willing to bet the polo is polyester as well at this point 🤣🤣 but I would agree that big companies have definitely swayed that mindset over us. That why I find value in channels that do side by side testing like project farms channel

You dont understand industry. Imagine working on some nuclear power plant stuff and external auditor will walk up to you and ask you for the calibration sheet for this multi m/billion dollar piece of equipment you are working on. Are you gonna tell him with a straight face that the "higher priced products are often not much better than the knockoffs" and "We have been getting fooled for years by these big companies".
