Since when did the 61 operate with articulated buses? Back in 2004 when I lived in 'Sauga, the 61 mostly consisted of Orion V, VI, and some D40LF, and the route like almost all others in the system ran only once an hour, even during rush hour!

61/61A ran every 16 minutes during rush hour and every 45 minutes outside rush hour in 2004. (edit: 35 minutes outside rush hour) The only routes with hourly service outside rush hour on weekdays in 2004 were the 15B and 43. There were no routes with hourly service during rush hour.

You ever notice that the d40lfs have less mechanical issues than the d40lfrs? At least from what i see, and the 2010 d60lfr i swear is like invincible. Idk why they got rid of the 08s :( those were my favorite

The older the technology, the more simple, which means less issues and easier fixes…in most cases. The main thing that separates the LF’s from the LFR’s is the fact that the LF’s don’t take DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) where as everything 2007+ takes DEF. The 06 D40LFR’s also don’t take DEF, they’re the last order without it. Those buses are just as good as a D40LF (they’re basically a 05 with an LFR body) as for the 2010 D60’s, they’re retiring and being replaced by 2375-2396. About 5 or 6 of the 10’s currently remain
