Thanks Joe great recordings, organisation and philosophy, but also really hot levels as usual I begin to know your work :P Thanks Warren to keep all this years the boat for us and still give value on KZbin. Looking to make the best work possible, also you mentionned that the most important thing is that the producer and artist has to like it, can we have small clues ablut what they like/their sonic references they love, what they are after etc.. ?

That was a few years ago so I don’t remember that we had any reference other than “make it big”. As far as the levels, I don’t recall them being exceptionally “hot” really. Probably really typical trying to hit somewhere between analog zero and maybe +6 or something like that for coloration of the mic pre-or tube stage output of a compressor etc. And there’s always some clip gain stuff in the box to make sure we’re in a sweet spot. I think you figured it out, but the overheads are stereo but I also have a mono “kit” mic or “crotch” mic in there. That is located just off the shell of the snare drum during the Tracking.

Yes, please use at least the vocal and one element to tie it together, however both can be VERY heavily manipulated!

Hmm that's confusing! Once they are downloaded onto your computer there's no protection on them, no way to deny access. I'm also in the UK and I didn't; have that issue when I just tested. Top you still have a problem?

We listen to every mix! It takes a month to do it! I listen to then as they come in and separate them into two piles and then take the top mixes from there.

@@uncleted3961 Firstly, it took an incredibly long time for the winners to be announced. Secondly, the original track plus the winning remixes have still not been released. We're talking about a total of 8 months.

It took the Artist a long time to listen to every single mix and remix and we went back several times and made sure she was happy with the results! That takes a huge amount of effort. We can't skip through that process! We are not short changing the huge amount of effort that people put into doing these tracks.
