I know I didn't watch the whole tournament but for anyone to reach the Grand Finale like both players are VERY HARDCORE Players, and then to just WITNESS TMAN make it all look so easy like just WOW....and btw GG MIX we'll get'em next time and Congratz TMAN on winning the tournament 🎉

Any plans to cast the current 2v2 DEFCON tournament? Big prize pool (>$1000), different maps (cause it's 2v2) and both of these players are participants

I suspect TMAN is actually multiple TMEN, because the level of situational awareness is godlike. Really impressive. Kudos to Mix, they made a valiant effort. But even a French division is not enough for TMAN.

Hey Vulcan, have you thought about commenting thre recent semi-final of the WarYes DEFCON 2 2v2 tournament? Specifically, the match between Lathans and Integer versus Tman and Hippie. Their third game was particularly clutch and impressive.

It seems that Tman has kept turning his fighters giving them more chance to evade missile rather than flying straight forward like mix's planes.

It makes sense that he picked France. After the last spanking where Mix had his expensive units like the M1A1 and Hawks raped by the Tman's air, Mix switched to a faction that doesn't put such high value in a single unit.

At about 4 minutes: You're commenting how improbable it is that Phantoms are so succesful, and that Mirages failed. It's right after a Phantom was actually shot down by a Mirage F1C :) (admittedly too late to prevent earlier strafing ;) ). Also, as for general air successes of Tman - he didn't get scot free, but looking at the videos, I'd say the secret lies in very intensive attacks. Attacking aircraft is fired upon - will live or die, depending on Lady's favor. If there's two aircraft there's actually a good chance they will live, simply due to saturation of defenses. At this stage we often see a third aircraft (or even a pair, especially if initial overflight was by a singleton) - specifically targeting AA that shown itself bmoments ago. It faces late AA fire (due to AA being busy still), and the attacks are quite often successful. I expect this approach requirs heavy investment, but the results speak for themselves - disorganized AA defenses and air domination, used to dismantle enemy line one piece at a time. I don't think his aircraft are any more lucky than others - just that with his approach he can afford an occassional loss, and other _immediately present_ aircraft ensure these losses don't mount up.

look at around 7 minutes for an example of this approach (in air combat, in this case): - a Mirage comes in to kill AH-1 Cobras (and cleanly kills one of them). - is immediately engaged frontally by a Phantom - both fighters receive hits and turn away to disengage - SECOND Phantom is already on attack vector - a short pursuit ensures that Mirage is down (damaged Phantom disengages safely) - Second Mirage comes in, to swat the Phantom or attack target of opportunity... only to meet TWO Phantoms head on, right over over Tman's AAA position, with predictable results. Effect: in less than a minute of dogfight, Tman lost a Cobra but killed a pair of Mirages, which seems very advantageous (especially as said Cobra first killed some infantry, too). This required at lest three Phantoms being immediately available though, and engaging from position of advantage (far from enemy reinforcements area, with own reinforcements called quickly and purposefully). A moment later Mirage 2000 entered the game, and an Eagle stood ready to fight it (but didn't go for pursuit when it would mean leaving own forces' back lines). Loved watching this! That's a luck of players' own making.

I know this has been some time ago, but I sure hope that someone explained to Mix that there is a logistics tab not only for leaders.. Im not sure if he brought in any supply in all finals.. and you can see him pushing with badly damaged units or out of ammo support.. edit: just as i posted my comment he brought out 2 supply trucks - well, too little too late

Enjoying these 'casts, and tman is clearly a refined player, but surely his admirably conservative style is the only reasonably guaranteed route to victory in the silly encounter battle-format; let the initial attack fall on thin air, guard your van, and roll forward when your might is unstoppable... plus a deftly handled trade with carefully chosen opening units always helps...

There's been some real RNG moments this tournament in terms of AA lol Mix really gave it a good try this tournament but TMan has just been an absolute beast. This Grand Final has just been TMan trading to the point where he just sets up a meatgrinder for Mix to fall into as the game goes on.

T-man's super power remains RNG Dont get me wrong, he's a great player but if I sent 2 phantoms against 1 mirage i would be lucky to have 1 Phantom at the end Well played by T-man though Enjoyed the games
