I love this mixer, had it for about 3 years or so and it has served me well. However, as of late, I've been experiencing some audio issues, especially on the left line fader. Basically, when I'm mixing (moving to the left deck) as I'm increasing the volume, cueing in the next track, the audio would glitch or become soft and I would have to tap the top of the fader to have this sound come out at an optimal level. Sometimes the audio would bleed through as well, even when I've got the x-fader all the way to the right. Don't know if this is an easy fix or not, like maybe using fader lube, but will try it. If you have any tips on this, please do share.

I have the MK1. My only gripe is that the effects are not post xfader. Great mixer for the price.

Was thinking the same thing. This was the killer argument for me not to buy it. Went with the Numark Scratch instead. Otherweise this Mixer seems to be spot on.

I use this mixer with my Rane 12's and somehow I made them go in reverse and didn't know how to make them go back. I had to restart Serato. Any idea how to control reverse on the mixer, Rane 12's or Serato. Thanks

I have had the mixer for about 5 months now and so far, its amazing. Simple sound card to play anything from my laptop through my studio setup. I do think the software upgrades could be supported better, but MIXARS is pretty much no more(?) Correct?

Hi I already own one but was wondering if your channel faders are loose like the crossfader? Just feels like there is not much resistance for my liking. Hi I’ve got this mixer too but I’m wondering if i did the settings well from the front panel to enable me to control the crossfader because I’m really having big problems with that could please help me analyze how to go about the settings thank you.

I saw you have the RANE TWELVES but you use the 1200s for your demos. Any reason? I want to pick up one RANE TWELVE and one battle mixer to get started. The MIXAR is looking like a good way to balance out the high cost of the TWELVE ;-). I’m using them to add cuts to some original music and I’m way deep in the Native Instruments ecosystem but I couldn’t mess with their controllers and even disliked the NI software. I really considered the RELOOP 8000 MK2 but I don’t wanna mess with the needle skipping (LOL). Sorry for the long list of questions - I’m digging the reviews and just subbed.

The Rane Twelve is not only a superb controller for emulation of vinyl, it's super tightness and feel is what makes it so desirable for turntablists and freestyle party djs. There are so many features you can use alongside the MIXARS mixer for tapping into all the good stuff on Serato too (also, all buttons re-mappable for other DVS software like Traktor etc), The Mixer's USB hub means it's less cables going to the laptop so it's super easy to set up. The 8000 mks2 are also dope, and they, like the Twelves have loads of cool features pre-mapped for controlling Serato software, these decks would also utilise the hub. Remember, if you go down the turntable/serato route, you can set the vinyl to Relative Mode (within' the software) which means if the needles do skip, it wont be hugely noticeable if it does happen.

Just wondered what actual vinyl sounds like through this mixer? Have you compared the phono pre amps with say, a pioneer djm 450 or equal?

This mixer isn't compatible with with rekordbox, only Serato

The Twelve can be connected directly into the USB on a mixer, or straight into the laptop.
