Love this video! My daughter’s hair is very dry as well and has about the same curl pattern. I’m afraid that her hair being so dry is impeding it from growing. I’m definitely trying this on my daughter! I would love to see hair styles that you do and how you refresh her hair!

My daughter is 6 years old her hair is short really curly and dried out. How can I help her? She is mixed black dad white mom. I have no idea how to care for her hair?? I have been watching videos on KZbin but I am lost. Can you recommend any products and where I can get them? Thank you God bless.

Target has lots of curly hair products ! Just make sure to wash + detangle her hair regularly then use a leave in conditioner to keep it moistured in between.

I have a mixed daughter (Hispanic and black) who is 6. Her hair was short and dries out very quickly. Texture is similar to the little girl in video. I learned she had high porosity hair which meant protein is her friend. Her routine is wash day is Saturday - detangle with water and oil, wash with any shampoo I use Joico moisture recovery (I get it from Ulta) then deep condition with plastic cap and sometimes she sits under the dryer 20 mins. My fave deep conditioner for her hair is (Shea moisture manuka honey)or (Camille Rose moisture max conditioner coconut milk and Aloe vera) both can be found at CVS. For the last 3 weeks I have been adding a little of Greek yogurt and egg for a protein boost in the deep conditioner. This has been a game changer. I mean her hair has been soft and strong after it! Then I put Mielle's pomegranate leave in (my daughters fave bc of the smell) and coil sculpting custard and style. I usually only put a few pony tails in. I leave in for about 3 days. I take it out usually every Wednesday bc her hair is dried out by then. I sometimes cowash it on this day with shea moisture mango and carrot kids conditioner and add same leave in. Or I may just spritz with water and add leave in products if I dont feel like washing it until Saturday. Then Saturday comes we start the process all over. I give her a protein treatment with aphogee 2 step process every other week (this works for her hair. I wouldn't recommend starting off this protein regimen). You can start with a protein treatment every 6 weeks to see. Sorry this was so long just thought you may find it helpful. The most important thing is routine. Make sure to wash and deep condition at least once a week and protein treatment once a Month!! Experiment with different products and find what her hair responds well too.
