Mixed Media Art Journal background. Intuitive process. Process video

A video showing me creating an unplanned, intuitive, mixed media art journal spread. This video was requested by a follower. The only criteria they stated was that it should include rice paper and paper napkins.

Great fun - enjoyed your process and hearing a bit of your voiced prompts along the way. My big takeaway: layers, layers and more layers. I’m always a bit leery of covering up stuff I’ve already done but it gives much more depth and interest with the semi transparency. Thanks!

Thank you so much Gina. And I totally understand that reluctance to cover over things. But even things that get completely covered, are there in spirit as they are the inspiration for the following layers. It all matters. Letting it flow without worrying about what will be seen by the end. ❤️

Cats are ❤️. A bit of “its a wonderful life” love. I had to pick an anonymous craft forum name back when I first started paper crafting about 20 years ago. No real names allowed for safety 🤷🏽‍♀️ So, as I love the film, I picked Zuzu’s petals. The friends I made back then, who remain friends, still call me Zuzu or Zee 😂 It kind of stuck . De-collage can create some lovely effects. Especially if you don’t stick the first layer too effectively. I may have overdone it. 😂
