Excellent piece! I admire how you are able to take colors or objects I normally wouldn't use and turn them into something so beautiful and visually...pleasing. Is that the right word? For instance, a couple of those shades of green I wouldn't have picked for my own stash, but put them together like you have, and wow. It's something beautiful I didn't picture coming from those shades. That is so cool how well the gesso resist worked! I thought it would need something to cover it like a gel medium, but it worked great! Fantastic beginning for a new journal, I enjoyed the process and learning some new things. Thank you!

Your art is so fine, I'm a cardmaker for 25 years i need a change also my vision is not what it used to be, ,Is this mixed media very costly? Most of the materials are available to me. It's obvious your quite adapt to this form of art as your methods and the finished canvas is beautifull, it has really impressed me thanks

Glad you liked it. Mixed Media can be as expensive or as cost effective as you want really, there are student grade and artist grade versions of most mediums, so something to suit everyone's budget :-)
