lovely piece. I remember painting flowers when I did folk art many years ago, it has come in handy with the move to mixed media. I enjoy watching your process . Thank you for sharing your creativity with us.

I never learned the one stroke method of painting flowers.....but my years doing folk art has transfered definitely. K

Gorgeous, love the 2nd one. Cringed when you put the black on the first background! I have some rice papers from Ninny's, hate the thought of ripping them up, beautiful as they are, but no fun in that. Thanks as always!

LOL ....you don't know unless you try....YES no fun in keeping them as they are....K

Beautiful! I’ve always been afraid to try highlighting my napkins but I’m gonna practice. Thanks for sharing your art🌺🌸💖

YES practice...you can start by doing a wash of color then doing it the globby way I did here....pick a napkin you have lots of and just practice till you get comfortable. K

I love hoe you used the napkin to make your own pretty paper!

I am swimming in the white layers so it's good to use them. They are more fragile than tissue paper, but they decoupage down more transluscent . K

SOOOO pretty!!! When you say thick gesso, what brand and is it called thick gesso?
@KarenBurchill3 жыл бұрын
Thank you. My " thick gesso" is an art store economy gesso ( OPUS in Canada ) that has thickened over time. You can buy thick or extra thick gesso....There are a variety of brands just search for thick gesso.....I have not tried any ...I just keep buying this one, putting it into smaller container and loving how it thickens.
