I was Just reading your comments And wanted to tell you I LOVE YOUR LONGER VIDEOS! Ooo I could never handle being a KZbinr because of the comments. People are unbelievable. It's all mostly positive but just the way someone says stuff sometimes it annoys me so much and it's not Even said to me.. someone saying they do not like you showing the subscribe reminder? It's a 2 second small pop up that is for your business that doesn't block the video in anyway you can very much still see what's going on. I don't know why people feel like they need to say anything . Your are such a nice person I did like you saying watch full video to be better artist 🤣🤣🤣 I love when you use new products . I want to touch pan pastels I am so interested in how soft or hard they are. I always wanna try that tool thing people use to apply them.

By spraying a fixative on the pan pastels you can keep them from moving or coming off. I love this, and the fact that you were brave in working with products you don’t normally use on camera! Way to go! It turned out so beautifully.

I came across your easy watercolor Christmas card tutorials and did them last night BUT, I wanted to let you know that I am left-handed as well and having just begun learning calligraphy and painting both watercolor and acrylic, I found it difficult to get the same results etc. Later, I realized it was due to different hand. I couldn't find anything at all to help me until I found you. The problem with a lot of tutorials is they go way too fast and it makes it not fun to do. You teach perfectly at a pace that I don't have to pause each step but actually do the step with you. You're personal and genuine and motivational to name a few. Thank you for posting and for taking time out of your personal life to give us these beautiful chances at art most think are beyond their creativity.

I have some pan pastels but a diff brand and I haven't used them either. I am in complete awe of this piece. It is one of my favorites now. The color palette is gorgeous... so amazing. I love the texture of the random numbers and letters and the color of tissue. Everything. Love it!❤❤❤

Marta this canvas was just so inspiring. Watching you started giving me ideas for my own canvas that I started, I think back in October/September for a Christmas gift to someone, it's been sitting there half done since that long because I just can't think how to carry on with it. I felt like I really lost my creative "touch" or feel for a while now. I only really create now for my workshops or with your live classes. Not much for myself these days. But watching you pull together this stunning canvas really sparked my feel for canvas and texture again. I sat here remembering how I used to just play and place things mindlessly when I very first started mixed media. Tomorrow I will have a good play. Hair spray. I love the rawness of the canvas and then boom you put down a butterfly and it softens the whole piece.

It was so much fun watching your process. I was telling you, like you could hear me (LOL) “workable fixative spray “ for the pan pastels or hairspray. But I like the way it worked over the gel medium/gesso. It’s very pretty! Tip on the foil.. when you open it cut off the sticky flap then it comes out easier.

A fixative spray might work. You would need one that would let you continue to work on top of it when it dries.

Gold leaf is very,very fragile. Much more so than actual foil. But I do like it on the wood letters. Good call.

Love it Maremi! You really need to watch some pan pastel videos! It is such a versatile medium! I'm sure you can even find some more uses for it as well ! Also...I'm pretty sure those 'cardboard' die cuts are "grunge board" by Tim Holtz. If it is bendable then that's what it is. She may have used a cutting machine to cut the designs onto a sheet of it. This is amazingly beautiful, Marta!♥️♥️ I've worked with Pan Pastel before, but just in the 'traditional'way...😊 Great how the pastels react with the white gesso, I really love it , and I'm gonna give it a try😍😍.... Fixative spray is recommended to fix the Pan Pastels. You can use hairspray, but it might turn yellow over time... Thank you for sharing this process video, I enjoyed watching it, as always!🥰

Put the leafing on as a sheet give it a chance to dry then take your brush and gently brush the excess leafing away.
