Love, love the dual journal, so clever and smart of you. Lots of fun watching you create it, your excitement is the best. Your the first channel I turn on in the morning. I never used to watch tv in the day time. Then one day my great grandkids left KZbin on when they went to the art room. When I came back in the living room, there you were making a journal. I was hooked, absolutely with to regrets. You have made self isolation, bearable. I’ve checked out each KZbin channel and Etsy you talk about. I’ve introduced my art friends to junk journaling. Have got to make one of these for my nurse daughter in midst of virus at Florida eldercare unit. One side will be her Daily DUTY diary (the long hours, who she saw, who she spoke with. On call for 24/7 for weeks on end is daunting!) The other side will be her own personal information as all staff have temperatures taken upon arrival and departure from the facility. Once a week Covid test is taken and she logs the result. She says once this is over she wants to forget it. I argue that's exactly what's happened with Holecaust, Vietnam, Trade Towers etc. Her children and grandchildren will need to see her work in fifteen years to truly appreciate the sacrifice those FIRST RESPONDERS are doing. IMHO

Good morning I’m loving it, all the brilliant ideas! I have a question and Im sure this is a repeated question but I’m going to ask, what are the general rule of if size for a tuck/tag/journal card and a flip? Have a safe/ fun day!

I’d say it depends on the size of the journal, Bonnie. This one being a TN size (8 1/2 x 4 1/2) everything needs to be smaller than my normal 9 x 6 journals. In general, I do journal cards about 3x5, tags 6x3 or 4x2 and a flip about 4 1/2 for a 9x6 journal. Hope that helps! ❤️

Hi Gayle! How do u determine which glue 2 use with ur projects? And do some of the bottles u use have cake icing tips as applicators?

I use Uhu glue stick for paper to paper. I use Art Glitter Glue (metal tip is an AGG accessory) for tight places and flying on slick surfaces. And Fabritac for fabric, lace, etc. I have my Fabritac in a cake icing bottle. Hope that helps! ❤️

I made a “Gayle dual journal” last night. I love it. I’m struggling with how to make a closure. I’d like to keep one side closed while I’m working on the other. Any ideas? I’m typing this before I watch the video so I might be putting the cart before the horse here.😆

I’m just using a sari silk tie for this one. Went with the easy option. I understand what your saying about keep one side closed. Maybe just laying it on the table when your journaling will be enough? 🤔❤️

Good thing I read the comments about the ending before I heard it or I would’ve been worried, of course if you’d been murdered in your house then this video wouldn’t have been uploaded so I guess there was really nothing to worry about. I saw your comment that you forgot your daughter and granddaughter were coming over. I often read the comments while I’m watching, that’s one reason I like to watch on my iPad rather than on the TV. The journal’s coming out super cute, i’ve been working all day on one that I’ve been making, I’m onto the fun part now, the decorating. Hopefully I’ll finish over the weekend. I’m going birding tomorrow at one of the national wildlife refuges in the area, they finally opened up the bathrooms, so we can go --- literally, 😂.
