Just gorgeous! Love how you’ve explained and shown the techniques with the paints and water brushes. Can you tell me what you used to originally draw in the face and neck before the mermaid marker hair?
@KatePalmer6 жыл бұрын
Hi Caroline - After stamping the eyes I used a watercolor pencil to sketch in the face shape and neck - it's a little trick I use - if I don't get it right the first time I can just add water and wash it away - especially over gesso it just vanishes like magic! Means I can try as many times as I need to to get the right shape.

Beautiful kate- loved it 😊 can I ask what brand is the script foam stamp, and what colour/brand gold paint have you got in your fine needle bottle?
@KatePalmer6 жыл бұрын
Hi Gorgeous I haven't seen you in AGES!!!!! Hope all is well oxoxo The paint is a mix of Golden Iridescent gold fluid acrylic and a touch of aitbrush medium so you can squeeze it through the fine little nozzle. The foam stamps are script - foamies www.artfoamies.com/store/c1/Featured_Products.html though the circle is a random no name oxoxo

What is the gold fine liner paint
@KatePalmer2 жыл бұрын
Hi Kylie - the gold paint is Golden Fluid Acrylic in Irridescent Bright Gold Fine mixed with a thinning agent - I like fluid medium or airbrush medium.

Wow. I kept thinking you had finished. .....the page looked great, but then you would add another layer and the page would just get better. Impressive finished page! Thanks for sharing.

Where do you get punchinella? I haven’t been able to find it.
@KatePalmer5 жыл бұрын
I get mine from Lulu Art in Australia - I've also seen it at some of the $2 shops, if in the USA you could try Michaels or some of the School supply stores as often it's purchased for use in elementary schools oxox

Beautiful. But too much resemblance to JD. Which I have been seeing too many artist doing. Its nice but when u see this art u see her style more than your own. If that's what your going for great. But its too cookie cutter look. Just being honest.. Her products are good, but so many people are duplicating her work. And not working on their own style which can be easy if they tried.

Hi Marisol - thank you for your comment. I agree this particular page has a Jane Davenport flavour, it uses Jane's lovely stamp as a base so was destined to look familiar. I don't consider this duplication, rather inspiration (plus I adore her fabulous products). But if you are interested in a little more variety, I like to vary what I do so if you would like to look at some of my other projects to see something a little more Sparkle Tart style then you may like these: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oYbGgXeFhZh9jLs kzbin.info/www/bejne/bpCydoSXn710aas or kzbin.info/www/bejne/mGbQnKhnl8mjjrc
