Good morning Gayle & friends! What a blessing for you and the professor. You will have so much to fill us in on about your grandchildren’s events and family time! Today reminded me I need to make some “bases” to stamp on. So anytime I have a stamp set out, I can just stamp a few extras. I had cut up some “cardstock” for tags that becomes to flimsy when you glue on it. Think I’ll be using some punches on them as well as cutting into smaller pieces. Sure hope your jam packed September has been very adventurous! Many blessings! ❤❤❤

Hi Gayle! I just love your stamping videos. You mentioned the problem with TH newer stamp set with the edges getting inked where it shouldn’t. I know exactly what you mean but it’s actually because the stamp itself doesn’t have the edges trimmed close to the design in the stamp. Those square or rectangle shaped edges and extra space that extends so far past the design is the problem. I even noticed Toni on her video the other day trimmed the excess rubber and square edges from one of her stamps while doing her video because of it. Years ago the Stampin Up brand stamps came uncut so we had to trim them ourselves. They always recommended trimming the edges close to the designs for this very reason. I will probably trim my set of Tidbits for this reason too. I hope this info is helpful and of course it’s not user error….lol! Happy crafting! 🥰

Do you have any alphabet stamps? You could possibly improvise with those if you have small ones. When I made ID card I didn’t have the stamp that Gayle has that says identification so I just used my alphabet stamps and stamped ID and drew a line with my pen for the signature. I should’ve just signed them myself with made up names, but I did have the Cathe Holden stamp set that has signatures.
