Amazing! I almost fell off my chair when you used copics and stazon 😅 I had no idea the technique of pulling with paint would work in this way for alcohol based images, I need to try this today!! Does the alcohol affect the gel plate at all?

What a fabulous video and spring board for our ideas! I don't have any copics - can I use water color paint pens instead? I have never considered letting them dry on the plate - I know that it changes with every type of climate, but are we talking hours or days, quicker? Again, thank you for sharing your wonderful ideas!
@rosethorne79735 жыл бұрын
I've used watercolour pens on my Gelli plate before. Mine "beaded" up on the plate - Distress Inks do the same, so you do get a different effect, but I quite liked it. It added texture.
@christeldoucet74235 жыл бұрын
@Therivergypsy20235 жыл бұрын
I’m confused 🤷♀️ why would you need a geli plate to do that when you can do that directly on paper? Is it just to show you can? I get why with paint, but I feel like these could have been done directly on paper. Interesting

Gorgeous print, but I think yall must edit in something because mine NEVER turn out this flawless! 😉

Kitty Tatman if you get the chance to follow a Gelli print workshop by Birgit, you totally should! You’ll learn how to pull prints as perfect as hers. I’ve attended a short workshop and already learned so many new techniques.

Hi Birgit, thanks for the great demo. How long does the felt tip marker take to dry? Does the alcohol marker dry faster than water based marker? thanks
@coveredinpaint73185 жыл бұрын
I've used Crayola Supertips on them, and they do work, but they do tend to bead up, because they're waterbased. I didn't put anything over the top of them though, so I don't know if they might run or smudge when adding more layers. Worth a try though.

Hi @@coveredinpaint7318 I found Birgits video on felt markers - kzbin.info/www/bejne/eaWohGmvYr5_pLs so that answered my question, so I edited my question for a new one. Thanks for your reply.
