Recently Subscribed and dong a bit of binge watching 🙂 Love your artwork it's very inspirational. Really love the bright red double page with the butterfly you added. Also the hand with red eye in palm really stood out to me. So many fantastic pieces within the sketchbook, you are really talented. Never used water soluble pastels before but I am really liking how you use them with other media. The texture goes really well with the other media. Thanks for this video it was enjoyable to watch and hearing you talk about each picture was informative 👍 Sending Happy Vibrations

such an interesting sketchbook! beautiful. For the finished paintings in this sketchbook, did you sketch elsewhere and then paint your final attempt in this book? I mean, I'm torn between treating a sketchbook like a final piece collection and treating it like a place for preliminary sketches. Do I need another sketchbook for this sketchbook I'm using? I saw there are a few thumbnails in your book, but were that enough?

Thank you, Danny! I usually sketch thumbnails in my "idea sketchbook", which I carry around and use for written notes, thumbs, studies, and sometimes also finished drawings. The reason for this is practical - the paper is thinner and better for writing, so I don't feel like I'm "wasting" expensive paper on doodles. If budget was not an issue, I wouldn't mind doodling and painting in the best mixed media sketchbook I can find. I'd prefer to have all the stages of a drawing in the same book. Maybe I should just tuck in some printer paper in my fancier sketchbooks :)

What kind of sketchbook is this?

Hahnemühle Report & Art Book. It has been discontinued several years ago, I don't know of any sketchbook similar to it.
