Love the tags! Question for the group.... I'm new to tag making. If your goal is to sell these as actual gift tags, how do you keep the back clean for the end usr of the buyer? Thanks everyone 😊
@SusanneRose4 жыл бұрын
Thank you! You can just glue them onto another "clean" tag. It might also look good if the "clean" one is a bit bigger so it creates kind of a frame around the artwork.

Great video! Added to my favorites! May I ask why you stamped the insects on and then pasted over with the colored cut-out insects? Thanks for your inspiration! :)
@SusanneRose6 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much! If you stamp the image directly to the background and adhere the cut outs afterwards you can't hardly see that these are glued on top. All you have to do is cut them out directly on the black outline. This technique works also good on cards, when you have a coloured background and want to add a stamped image.

As a newby, will you explain to me your choice to edge the tags with paint instead of the ink pad?
@SusanneRose6 жыл бұрын
Puh... it's a while ago I did these tags. Well, maybe because I had this paint laying around. It also maybe look a little different. But I believe it was just by chance. Sometimes I use paint, sometimes ink.

Hey Susanne! Another great work! Love it!!! Could you let me know about the Gelli printed deli paper? what is it? How did you get/make that? I would love to know. I saw you use this kind of background in several of our videos. I am very curious about it. another thing is, which dies you use to cut the texted paper you use on the top of the tag. What brand is it? Links is appreciated! Thank you, blessings :)
@SusanneRose7 жыл бұрын
Thank you Jessica. I printed the Deli Paper (I use "Butterbrotpapier", because its easiert to get it in Germany) with the gelli plate and acrylic paints. amzn.to/2kVIrQl The dies are from Sizzix: amzn.to/2l3YkoI
@TheJessica440237 жыл бұрын
You are very welcome and thank you so much for taking the time. I would love to see a video of you using the gelli plate and the bytterbrotpapier/acrylic paint, to make the background for your images. If you get a chance, of course. Thanks again Susanne! Blessings, Jess :)
@LindaRogersTO5 жыл бұрын
I can't find the information on what dies you used to create the second layer of your background. Not sure how often you check the comments but a bit curious.
@SusanneRose5 жыл бұрын
Hi Linda. It's a long time ago, but these must be the Tim Holtz Mixed Media dies from Sizzix.
@LindaRogersTO5 жыл бұрын
@@SusanneRose Yup I tracked them down by simply doing some searches on Scrapbook.com, but thanks so much for getting back to me. I ordered two die sets last night. I think you may have also used some alphabet dies to cut one of the backgrounds. I have some similar but not the same. I was actually looking for a way to combine stamping with a colourful background. I just bought a great "flying man" steampunk stamp from Big Red and I've tried two lay-outs that bombed...lol. The stamp just got lost in the background no matter what ink I used. Something like your design would totally work for this stamp but with some more gears. Everything's better when you give it the gears.

What are the sprays? The links don't work.
@SusanneRose4 жыл бұрын
These are from art anthology. I am not sure if the company still exists. The video is 4 years old. Good ink sprays are e.g. Dylusions Sprays.

@SusanneRose8 жыл бұрын
Mixed media says, that you use different art mediums in your work. E.g. paper, watercolor and acrylics.... search for it on wikipedia to get a good description. It is fun :-)

I want to make these tags..I have one question for you. Can I use Tim's new Oxide ink pads for my back ground and then use Artology's sprays
@SusanneRose7 жыл бұрын
You can use any background for this techique, I am sure Distress Oxide backgrounds will be great. There's no need to use the Art Anthologies sprays. Not sure if I used a glimmer spray on these tags... but every glimmer spray will work just fine.
