Is not possible to hack the account from the website it doesn't make any sense, VDM says the website is only projecting the balance alert that comes into phone he buy for that NGO, so that website is not linked to the bank account in anyway is only linked to the phone, that's why the phone has to be ON in other to update the website on the balance from the phone alert. in summary the website is linked to the phone massage app so not the account😂, VDM is not that stupid

I do BackEnd Dev, i think it is a prank.The connection between the NGO and Zenith Bank is not through the website but through traditional banking methods. Donations, presumably, go directly into a Zenith Bank account, not through the site. This website doesn't directly handle transactions. No payment processing, no direct banking link. So, how could such a platform be the gateway for a grand theft? Imagine a fortress with no gates; how then could the treasure inside be plundered?

My problem is the security in Nigerian banking is very weak. I don't see how such a large sum can leave an account without verification. The bank is culpable and by law the bank has to pay for fraud not you going to Jos. It is the banks duty to get the money back.

well... there is nothing impossible, however, I find this very difficult to believe.... for a corporate account such as an NGO there are procedures to which you can withdraw money from an account.... there are signatories to an account, usually for such account, you don't have a sole signatories to it and even if it is, there's procedures I just find it a bit on sitting....

Is not possible EXCEPT the website has a payment gateway like visa , stripe, PayPal or other payment methods. Then the person can hack the website and withdraw the money to a bank account from the website. If he uploads each payment manually on the website, then it’s not possible to withdraw the money because it is in a bank account not on the website. This is why websites hosting platforms encourage security measures from them not on your own .

So I know it's possible to get an account to feed data to an app or a website but to reverse that process is near to impossible as the bank has a solid firewall/ cybersecurity team to prevent such hacks, so the theft may be an inside job in the bank and playing about the money being stolen via the website.... Why arrest him, when all he was doing was to caution VDM to close the account. Though I agree that he let out a lot if information as to how the account can be easily hacked. But if he doesn't do that, how then would VDM or any of his subscribes he asked to inform VDM take him serious.
