There are more of the green jelly beans because green is the easiest and cheapest colour to produce, on the other hand blue is expensive and takes a lot of time producing. Now in the modern world people are very self conscious of artificial colouring, so candy companies switch to natural colouring. Naturally blue is a rare colour in nature and colouring them blue takes forever. The myth has been solved, hope this helps.
